Fragments from the Ruins
Last year, I was commissioned by Aune Head Arts at Dartington Hall to make a sound piece for radio.
It was my first opportunity to work with sound, &I spent the summer months collecting material from recordings of visitors to my workshop.
This was often accompanied by the sound of the wind,& birdcall, as the local people, ex miners, farmers, friends & visitors, gave their impressions ,both of the broken heaps& ruins that surround me, &of some of the artefacts &relics I have collected on these wild& desolate clifftops.
